Incarna Multi-Client

Tuesday, 21 June, 2011

As with every patch with EVE Online there seems to be problems with the Mac Client. This time the Preferences do not work so that the use of Multi-Client works on the Mac. Instead one has to add the more than one instance to the field that starts with CFBundleName. For more info check out the screencast that I did at: Incarna Multi-Client for Mac.

Another 6 month later post

Saturday, 7 May, 2011

I really need to update this place more often. Guess that is the curse of social media sites like Facebook. It takes all the live out of us to actually write more than just a few word blurbs.

There is no current news going on right now. Work has banned us from affiliating ourselves with them on any online site such as Facebook. So, yeah you read that right they do not like social media sites, which means they are one of the only companies that do use them to gain more customers. A shame really, but oh well; If I could tell you who I work for you could see by their website that the design is So 1995. Perhaps by 2020 they will catch up to using social media, but by then something better will be out and they will behind the curve again.

On other news Verizon turned up 3G in this area finally. Which I’m only a month or so behind in sharing this news. Anyways maybe I’ll actually post something sooner than 6 months this time around.

Oh and the blog subdomain for the “Photo Blog” will be going away. I use Flickr more now than that site. Maybe I’ll use it for EVE Online or something else.

Butch the Rooster

Monday, 26 October, 2009

John was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young layers (hens), called ‘pullets’, and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John’s favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch’s bell hadn’t rung at all! When he went to  investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. Read the rest of this entry »
